Westcott Village Association News from the Chairman - July 2018

on Sat, 2018-07-07 14:43

I start this month with a report back on the discussions we had to agree how The Hut, the Reading Room, the Sports Club, the School, the Church and the WVA work better together in the best interests of the village as a whole.  We recognise that all of these organisations reply on volunteers to fill trustee, committee and governor posiitons and that in a small village it becomes increasingly difficult to find people with the time, energy and commitment to fill these very often demanding roles.

News from Tim Way, Chairman of Westcott Village Association (May 2018)

on Wed, 2018-05-02 14:10

Firstly, can I thank those of you who have written to me following last month's introduction from me as the new Chairman of the WVA.  I have also spent time during March talking to people and I am encouraged by the fact that my concerns for the village appear to be shared.  These are early day soundings and we need to talk more widely but the feedback suggests you want to see the WVA being more proactive and doing things which reinvigorate our community.
