It has been my absolute privilege and honour to have been Westcott’s G.P. for the last 30 years. There have been so many memorable moments over this time, memories I will treasure forever. Many of you I have known since birth, and many of you have become personal friends. I have been overwhelmed by the wonderful comments, gifts, cards and good wishes I have received and for the very very generous donations made which have allowed Elaine and I to adorn our garden with the garden furniture in the picture. I cannot express our gratitude, thank you all.

I would like to thank Westcott Village Association for organising the farewell lunch and presentation. In particular my thanks go to Tim and Jan Way for all their kind thought effort and time they gave. Also a special thank you to Andrew and Edwina Gordon for so generously hosting the farewell in their beautiful house High Trees. They went to an enormous amount of effort and I found it particularly appropriate that it was held there, as that is where it all began 30 years ago.

There will be an open afternoon tea at Riverbank on Saturday 29th June (tbc) as a way of thanks, for anyone wanting to come and say cheerio.

It is with great sadness that I must now finally leave you all in the capable hands of Dorking Medical Practice.

Thank you and Goodbye

Doctor Tom
