Following a discussion at the extraordinary Council meeting on Tuesday 28 January 2020, the Mole Valley District Council Cabinet agreed to publish a draft Local Plan for public consultation. The draft Local Plan, Future Mole Valley, sets out how development in Mole Valley will be planned over the next 15 years and identifies locations for new homes and other development, whilst continuing to protect the countryside.

The draft Local Plan and supporting evidence documents is available to view online at www.westcottvillage.com , at futuremolevalley.org and in hard copy at MVDC’s offices in Dorking, the HelpShop in Leatherhead, and libraries in the district. The consultation will be available by visiting the same website. For more information, please email planning.policy@molevalley.gov.uk or call 01306 885001.

Consultation starts on Monday 3rd February and closes Monday 23rd March (one week later than originally proposed). A list of venues for presentation meetings is also available at www.westcottvillage.com and residents are encouraged to attend one of these. A member of the planning team has been requested to attend the WVA Open Meeting on 5th March.
